Tracing King Tut’s Genealogy and the 18th Dynastic Age to their Black Descendants Living in America Today

“Seest thou not that Allah is He, Whom do glorify all those who are in the heavens and the earth, and the birds with wings outspread? Each one knows its prayer and its glorification. And Allah is Knower of what they do. And Allah’s is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and to Allah is the eventual coming. Seest thou not that Allah drives along the clouds, then gathers them together, then piles them up, so that thou seest the rain coming forth from their midst? And He sends down from the heaven (clouds like) mountains, wherein is hail, afflicting therewith whom He pleases and turning it away from whom He pleases. The flash of His lightning almost takes away the sight. Allah causes the night and the day to succeed one another. Surely there is a lesson in this for those who have sight.” -Holy Qur’an, Surah 24, verses 41-44

The King Tut exhibit opened with firebrand controversy in Chicago, Ill., as the Secretary General of Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities, Zahi Hawass, addressed the press with language that hurled stones at the CEO of Exelon, one of the sponsors of the exhibit, for displaying an ancient Egyptian coffin in his office. Mr. Hawass signaled that the ancient coffin was the property of Egypt and its people, and should be returned to the museum or to Egypt, or he would press further charges. The controversial exhibit first opened in the United States at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art June 16 in California; traveled to the Museum of Art in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and is currently at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago until 2007, to then travel to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, Pa.

Is there a possible connection between the openings of the controversial film, The Da Vinci Code on May 19 to the opening of the King Tut exhibit seven days later on May 26? The film and the exhibit both centers on Egypt and the secret societies and Brotherhood that is opened only to the initiates. In the history of the Rosicrucian Order, it is believed that the secret Brotherhood was formulated or passed down to Pharaoh Akhenaton as the grand master. In The Da Vinci Code, the high secrecy level of the secret Brotherhood veered toward the sinister plot of murder to those who were members of such an elite Brotherhood. Mystery has always surrounded King Tut’s ascendancy to the throne and his untimely death at the age of 19 following the death of Akhenaton. As I walked through the exhibit, I was literally spell-bound by the exquisite selection of 50 funerary objects from the pharaoh’s tomb and 70 more pieces from other ancient tombs and temples dating from 1550-1305 B.C. As I approached the huge sculptured head of King Akhenaton, I felt such familiarity in the expression of his face as if he was actually family. Akhenaton launched an unexpected and revolutionary period in Egypt, which was a direct threat to the Ammon priesthood and all other dynasties. According to the history of that period, Akhenaton died or was killed by his contemporaries after only 17 years of ruling with his Queen Nefertiti. Tutankhamun, along with another young boy named Smenkare, were regents of Akhenaton to be anointed as ruler after him. Smenkare was erased from the scene, leaving Tutankhamun as the “boy king.” There is suspicion surrounding the fact that he was forced to return to the order of the Ammon priesthood, only to die shortly thereafter. In The Da Vinci Code, too, there was a sinister plot to destroy the bloodline that may have been engendered by Jesus through Mary Magdalene. This led to her flight to the southern part of France where today there exists a church dedicated to her name. We also will recall that in the movie, the secret lay in the keystone which was comprised of arrangements of sacred letters of the English alphabet and numbers in order to access the map which lead to the tomb of Mary Magdalene or the Holy Grail. In the case of King Tut, his burial place and coffin in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt, discovered by Howard Carter, British explorer and archeologist in 1922, disclosed an enormous cache of gold ever discovered in the world up to today. In the life of Prophet Muhammad, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, a similar plot emerged by a party seeking to hide the possible bloodline of the Prophet through his daughter Fatima and his son-in-law Ali. Ever since I was a child, I have always carried with me profound memories of Egypt and my connection to this ancient land and people, and would write poetry about the riddle of the Sphinx and the pyramids, imagining myself seated along the banks of the Nile River searching for my husband. While I believe that this may indeed be quite unusual to write about while only 12 years of age, growing up in Detroit, Mich., however, there are many other life experiences that triggered flashbacks and memories of my connection to that ancient land, and continue even to this present moment in time. During the period of my adulthood to giving birth to my four children, this genealogical link sustained itself as I read medical journals featuring the 18th Dynastic period with particular focus on cranial structure and other biological features in reference to Akhenaton, Nefertiti, and his family members, ending with the boy king, Tutankhamun. In 1984, while on tour in Egypt and Ethiopia with a small group of metaphysicians organized by the late attorney Marva Mohr, my youngest son, Ahmad, was nicknamed “Akhenaton” because of his striking facial features and long almond-shaped eyes being very similar to that of the king or Pharaoh Akhenaton. In my adulthood, I continued to read many books on Egypt throughout the years and began to place photos of family members and friends, including the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, inside of the books next to the photos that showed striking similarities. This was, indeed, a profound experience, as I reflected upon my earlier years walking through this exhibit at the Field Museum on May 26. In the early 1980s, having completed two visits to Egypt in 1975 and 1976, I came into the knowledge of the 19-based mathematical code introduced by the late Dr. Rashad Khalifa who was born in Egypt. I noted, once again, a striking resemblance between his facial structure and features to that of Thutmosis III, a great general and 18th Dynasty Pharaoh who was related to Amenophis III and the IV. It was Ameophis IV who changed his name to Akhenaton and brought into existence the Amarna Revolution which turned iconoclastic Egypt and the Ammon priesthood to the worship of the one God symbolized in the Aton Sun Disk with its life-giving rays. We will recall that in my book on the Million Man March, I refer to the 18th Dynastic rule of Akhenaton and a photo is inserted of the boy king Tutankhamun wearing his famous gold mask. I am extremely grateful to the Field Museum’s Senior Project Manager, David Foster, and Public Relations Department staff members Carolyn Jacobs and Aimee Davis for taking the time from their busy schedules to personally guide us on this tour. Brother Kenneth Muhammad had aptly secured press passes for us, which included his attendance at the opening press reception conducted by Zahi Hawass two days earlier. Sister Nubian Muhammad from the Editorial Department of The Final Call also accompanied us on this special tour. It was evident as we walked through the exhibit that the 18th Dynasty has its roots in the ancient land of Nubia, meaning land of the gold, and that our ancestors represent a long line of kings descended from God. We, who carry this bloodline as descendants of our ancestors, have been buried in the mud of civilization throughout this over 400-year period of enslavement, and are now arising to resurrect a New Golden Age in the Establishment of God’s Kingdom on Earth. “We have indeed revealed clear messages. And Allah guides whom He pleases to the right way. And they say: We believe in Allah and in the Messenger and we obey; then a party of them turn away after this, and they are not believers. And when they are invited to Allah and His Messenger that he may judge between them, lo! a party of them turn aside. And if the right is on their side, they hasten to him in submission. Is there in their hearts a disease, or are they in doubt, or fear they that Allah and His Messenger will deal with them unjustly? Nay! they themselves are the wrongdoers.” –Holy Qur’an, Surah 24, verses 46-50 To be continued.
