|The overwhelming event|
Have you ever had the experience of learning that an event of enormous importance had taken place and you knew nothing of it until it had passed? What about such an event that had happened, which profoundly affected your life, but you were ignorant of the event and its impact on you?
We are presently living through such an event, in the current work of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, which I’ve summed up with the term “wrap up.”
The term “wrap up” carries two basic meanings that fully apply to what Minister Farrakhan is now doing. First, the term “wrap up” can refer to a concise presentation of the news or current events. It can be a summarizing report. It can be to present or show succinctly, to assess, and then describe briefly whatever is being presented. It is to tell in or reduce to a summary, to make a summary, to sum up, to present a summary or recapitulation.
Minister Farrakhan is making such a summary of the divine revelation of Allah to his teacher, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, in his current weekly speeches available nationwide.
In the course of these speeches, and other things he is doing, under the inspiration of divine guidance, he is completing, concluding or finishing this phase of his assignment.
In this sense, his present effort defines “wrap up” in another one of its meanings, which is to wind up, or fold up or together. It’s to bring to an usually successful conclusion.
Minister Farrakhan is engaged in the concluding part of this phase of what was written of him, in the scriptures. As you observe him, remember, we are at the close or termination, or the wrap up of something very significant; or as one dictionary puts it: “the last section of; the closing part, or the last and often climactic event or item in a sequence.”
If we are ignorant of this “finale” from the divine view, and if we survive, we’ll pass through this time, as the Holy Qur’an says, “blind.” Then there will be the cry out to Allah, as it is written, “Why have you raised me up blind, when I use to see?” That will be a very rough time.
The writer of the letter I quoted, a few issues ago, ought to consider the above quote from the Holy Qur’an.
Now, I’m continuing with an excerpt from a chapter titled, A Valuable Black Man from the book,“Farrakhan: God’s Man on the Straight Path.”
Mark 8:29 and Luke 9:20 records Peter’s words in these forms: depending on which translation you read:
“You are the Messiah.” “Thou art the Christ.” “You are God’s Messiah.” “You are the Christ of God.”
Jesus knew that this was the time when he could expect such understanding—especially from Peter, as he had already chosen Peter for an awesome future assignment. Jesus responded to his disciple by telling Peter that he was a blessed man, for God Himself was the Source of that revelation to him. In addition, he said, so it is written:
“…thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matthew 16:17 & 18)
To prevail means “to be greater in strength or influence; to triumph; to be or become effective; win out; to get the better of; to overcome, master, conquer, surmount, best, worst; to rule, dominate, reign, predominate, preponderate.”
Could this have been fulfilled 2,000 years ago? No!
In the 19th verse, of Matthew 16, we read:
“And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Again, could this really have been fulfilled 2,000 years ago—especially in the light of the history of the world, from that time until now?
(There is the deepest kind of tie– in between the meaning of the numbers of these verses in conjunction with their contents and the time of their fulfillment; especially in the work of the Honorable Louis Farrakhan.)
Notice, Jesus is saying that he himself would direct this building work through Peter and others. He will do the building of his “church,” by the power of his God, after he had gone to where his Father was, and he would give Peter the keys to the kingdom at a time to come after the time when he was then talking to them. This building work of his began after he was put on the cross and after he went to his Father.
At a certain point in his spiritual development the Honorable Louis Farrakhan came to recognize certain truths about his teacher. With that came a sense of a future work that he would do in relation to that recognition. He informed his teacher of what he saw. This was one of the critical stages in his development. His teacher acknowledged what his Minister saw—up to a point—and continued his Minister’s preparation for that future work, which he has now been performing since 1977. Even this work is preparation for a future work.
There was a specific set of exchanges, during this critical juncture, between the teacher and his pupil, from about 1968-1972 during which the latter wrote a letter to his teacher; in response to certain things his teacher was unfolding to him. I’ve seen a draft of that letter. I bear witness that it constitutes the fulfillment of “Peter’s Confession”.
In fact, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad had, over the years, made certain statements to Minister Farrakhan that led (guided) him to the recognition—to a certain extent—that his teacher was the Messiah/Christ, and that he had a special future work to do in connection with this recognition.
According to the word-picture painted in the New Testament, the followers of Jesus came to see him much clearer after he departed and went to his Father (God). This word-picture is being fulfilled, in reality, even as you read these words. We are, for instance, living out, or fulfilling, the book of Acts, as well as in certain writings (including parts of the Gospels) and histories.
None of this is to ignore specific truths the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said to this or that person, among his relatives, staff, followers and others. None of this is intended to ignore their value to the rise of Black people.
In Minister Farrakhan’s case, his teacher worked to bring from him particular responses, as part of his preparation, which pertained to the work he was yet to do. He got them. The student, however, did not realize the magnitude of the work done on or in him, to prepare him, until years later. But he was obedient. This training was factored into the overall scheme of things, predetermined by God, and executed by the Minister’s wise teacher. It is clear that this student, the Honorable Louis Farrakhan, has now come to understand those lessons. His magnificent work is sufficient testimony to that.
This understanding was in evidence when Minister Farrakhan wore a new fez during his Saviour’s Day speech of February 1984. It contained several jewels that represented the universe. Its significance was momentous and full of great consequence; as was the message he delivered that day.
This is not playing a numbers game. However, the fact remains that it was on the 17th day, of the 9th month (according to this world’s calendar), September, 1985, which was 19 months after his (4th consecutive) Saviour’s Day speech of 1984, when the Honorable Louis Farrakhan was brought up, in what I’ve called his more than a vision experience, to that huge space ship, as some would call it.
It is a physical reality. It is yet high above us even as you read these words. The Mother Plane is a better term or name for it, according to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
There, on that huge plane, the Honorable Elijah Muhammad spoke to him. We will return to these events and to these dates just mentioned, later in this chapter and in the next, and to the Minister’s vision plus experience elsewhere in this book.
Meanwhile, let us ponder the following words of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad to his Minister, which takes us deeper into the subject of this chapter: the value of the Honorable Louis Farrakhan.
One day, in the late 60s, he said to his Minister:
“I did not make you, Brother.” The Minister responded, “Oh yes you did, Dear Holy Apostle. Yes, you did.” The Honorable Elijah Muhammad quieted his Minister with a sharp retort, telling him to be quiet and listen. He repeated his statement that he did not make his Minister. He continued that, “I taught you like I taught the rest. But only Allah made you able to put the teachings together in the unique way that you have of putting the teachings together. Brother, Allah prepared you for me.”
